The Froot Loopes Game

Imerrsive Advertising is the art of putting advertising in to vidogames, and movies so that while in front of the tv or computer screen you are uncousioly taking in advertisings. Take Neopets for example, its cute and harmless in most people eyes, a place where kids can raise their own virtual pets, yet to raise these pets you have to play games and earn money to buy food and items for your pet. The Froot loopes game or the Berry Lucky Charmes Triple Track are games on the site that are entertainment but they constatly adervertise private companys logos and items in their games. It is real hard to advertise to this generation so they now find crafty ways to advertise to young kids. In my opinion parents should pay more intetion to their young kids internet habits instead of complaining to companys about their advertising. Yet immersive advertising really is effective in advertising to young kids. So parents should talk to their kids about advertising instead of complaning or talking their kids away from advertising since it is a part of life. So What do you think?

The Power of the PEMRA

In the counrty of Pakistan on November the 4th 2007, the cilvinians woke up to a unbelevinle reality. The PEMRA or the Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulating Authority baned the media from creating any reports that ridicule the militay, the president, or his administration. Any editor who defies the order can face a year in jail or a 5 millon ruppe fine($83,000). The president’s excuse for the action were to control a pro-Taliban insugency in the country, yet he seems to target the media. Many lawyers, and pro- democracy agitators have been put under house arrest. Can anyone beleiveĀ  how governments keep information they dont want getting out. In my opinion i dont think its was a good choice of action for a country on the rocky road to democracy, its already been diapproved by foreign governments including us the U.S. Whatever his reasons were they still dont justuify the fact he completley ignored the freedom of media. So what do you think? Was it fair?

The Great Firewall of China, Chinese internet Police

You know how when you surf the net you have plenty of information just seconds away from you. Myspace, yahoo,Google, and other sites you may go to for fun.Well forget it. In China you would get a visit from the internet police. These cute annoying cartoon characters pop on the pages in china every thirty minutes to make sure your not visiting any inappropriate sites.Inappropriate as in it is not approved by the government. In china the government dictates what you do on the computer.Anything that the government finds politicaly or morally threating. Also they are closing down oversea websites that they deem inappropriate. Can you imagine a life like that? Constatly being wathched by the government? In my opinion they have no right to dictate what people do on the internet, but it goes to show that their are still govermentes out their who still rule with an iron fist. so what do you think?

Magic Pond Review

Are digital Childrens Book assingment was fun, but it did not come out the way i thought it whould. It was real short, the last part of it was taken out. But other than that it was good. The word wall words that were used in the story were personification, and theme. It was hard woek so i whould not say it was worthwhile turning this into digital books. But if we had more time and were better organized it could be better.
