It seems that our president George Bush has finally spoken some words on the topic of Darfur. It is true that we the U.S our not going to be sending troops to settle the conflict in Darfur as stated in the article, but we will be sending 100 million dollars to the U.N’s peacekeeping force. Now although I believe you cannot tell others to help fight the evil in Africa without showing some backbone yourself you must admit that our country has its own issues. We are still in Iraq, our economy is bad, and we don’t have time to start problems with China. Although it seems that A few hundred marines could help out drastically there are other problems that foreshadow whats happening. Well although i wish something was done i kind of understand what he is saying. So that’s really what the article was about so it seems that we must hope that other countries can help bring hope to the region of Darfur and surrounding countries and ensure that lesson of Rwanda is fresh in every ones minds.
