Power corrupt a person’s judgement and personality. A series of test done by psychologist at Northwestern University’s School of Management shows that those who felt like they were in control or had power often could not see things from others point of view. They were  becoming selfish and had bad social skills. While on the other hand those who felt powerless or average were much more understanding had great social skills and demonstrated empathy. In away this can be related to many issues the middle east, even the past. For example in the Narrative written by a slave named Fredrick Douglass he pointed out that his once kind hearted, and angelic mistress became violent and demonic when she became a slave holder..At first she was fine but the corrupt seed of power was already placed in this sweet girls heart. To be such a kind person at one time and a controlling bully the next is wrong. It shows how power seems to corrupt us all in some way or form. As Fredrick said this new power corrupted this girl as it does to all of us.
